How to Watch the 2026 NFL Draft Without Cable — 5 Free and Low-Cost Options

If you've cut the cord — or never had cable to begin with — you might be thinking you're about to miss out on all the action of the 2026 NFL Draft. All 257 picks, live from Pittsburgh. But here's the thing nobody tells you: you can watch every single round of this year's NFL Draft without paying for cable. And one of the options in this guide won't cost you a single dollar. Not a trial, not a subscription, not a penny.

We're saving the best one for last, so make sure you read all the way through.

What You Need to Know First: 2026 NFL Draft Schedule and Channels

The 2026 NFL Draft is being held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — the first time Pittsburgh has hosted the draft since 1948. Here's the full broadcast schedule:

  • Round 1 — Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. ET
  • Rounds 2 & 3 — Friday, April 24, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. ET
  • Rounds 4–7 — Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET

The channels carrying all seven rounds are ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network, with Spanish-language coverage on ESPN Deportes. Three days. Five ways to watch. Here's how.

Option 1: Live TV Streaming Services (Cable Replacements)

Live TV streaming services are the closest thing to cable without the contract or equipment. You pay a monthly fee and get live channels delivered over the internet. There are four worth knowing about for the draft.

YouTube TV runs about $83 a month and includes ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network — all three channels covering the draft. Free trials are available for new subscribers, so check the current offer before you sign up.

Hulu Plus Live TV is priced similarly and includes all the channels you need, plus Disney Plus and ESPN Plus. If you have family members who want options beyond football, this is a solid all-around choice.

FuboTV runs around $85 a month for the Pro plan and covers ESPN, NFL Network, and local channels including ABC. FuboTV typically offers a seven-day free trial — more on why that matters in a moment.

Sling TV is the best budget option, starting around $46 a month. If you go with Sling, make sure you choose Sling Orange — that's the package that includes ESPN. Depending on your market, you may need to add ABC separately, so confirm that before you commit.

All four services let you watch on a computer, phone, tablet, or on your TV through a streaming device.

Option 2: Streaming-Only Apps (No Full TV Package Required)

If you don't want to pay for a full live TV package and just want the draft, you've got two app-only options.

ESPN launched its own standalone streaming service in 2025. The ESPN Unlimited plan runs around $30 a month and gives you everything on ESPN, including ABC simulcast, plus a massive sports library. If you're already subscribed, just open the ESPN app or visit ESPN.com and start watching.

NFL Plus is the NFL's own streaming service. The basic plan is just $6.99 a month and gives you access to NFL Network coverage. Download the NFL app from the App Store or Google Play Store, subscribe, and you're set.

These two options are ideal if you're watching on a phone or tablet and don't need a full live TV package.

Option 3: How to Watch on Your TV — Streaming Devices

No matter which streaming service or app you choose, getting it on your big screen is straightforward.

Roku: Head to the Roku Channel Store and grab the ESPN app, the NFL app, or the app for your streaming service. Log in and you're watching the draft in your living room.

Amazon Fire TV Stick: Open the Amazon App Store, download your app of choice, and log in. You can even use Alexa voice control — just say the app name and it opens hands-free.

Google TV: Whether you have a Chromecast with Google TV or another Google TV device, go to the Google Play Store, download the ESPN app and your preferred service, and log in. Google TV also lets you cast directly from an Android phone to your TV.

Apple TV: Open the App Store on your Apple TV, grab the ESPN app or your streaming service's app, log in, and you're watching the draft on your big screen.

All four devices support every major streaming app, so no matter which one you own, you have a clear path to watching the draft on your TV.

Option 4: Use a Free Trial Strategically

Here's something worth paying attention to, especially if you're price-conscious.

The NFL Draft runs three days. FuboTV typically offers a seven-day free trial. YouTube TV has offered free trials for new subscribers as well. If a free trial is currently available, you could sign up, watch all three days of the draft, and cancel before the trial ends — spending exactly $0.

If you're only interested in the draft and nothing else, it's absolutely worth checking what trials are being offered right now before committing to a monthly subscription. Sign up, watch the draft, and decide afterward whether you want to keep the service. The draft ends Saturday. If a trial starts Thursday, you have room to watch and decide.

Option 5: A TV Antenna — The Best Free Option Most People Overlook

Here it is. The option that costs you nothing.

A TV antenna. It sounds old-fashioned, but it's genuinely the best-kept secret in cord cutting.

ABC is broadcasting all three days of the 2026 NFL Draft — rounds one through seven across Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Every single pick. And ABC is a free over-the-air broadcast channel. If you have a digital TV antenna and you're within range of a local ABC affiliate, you can watch the entire draft in HD, completely free.

A quality digital antenna costs between $20 and $60. It's a one-time purchase with no monthly fees — ever. In many markets, you can also pick up CBS, NBC, and Fox at no cost, which means you're covered for plenty of other sports throughout the year.

Setup takes about two minutes. Plug the antenna into your TV, run a channel scan, find your local ABC station, and you're done.

If you're on Florida's Treasure Coast, Space Coast, or South Florida, this option works great for most homes. You should be within range of your local ABC affiliate with no issues at all, especially with an outdoor antenna. It's hard to beat free.

Quick Comparison: Which Option Is Right for You?

  • Want completely free, no strings attached? → Get a TV antenna. One-time cost, works forever.
  • Want to stream on any device? → ESPN Unlimited or NFL Plus give you app-only options without a full TV package.
  • Want a full channel lineup? → YouTube TV or Hulu Plus Live TV are the best all-around picks.
  • Want to keep costs low? → FuboTV and Sling TV are solid, lower-cost alternatives.
  • Want to potentially spend nothing on a streaming service? → Check for a current free trial from FuboTV or YouTube TV. You may be able to watch all three days without spending a dime.

A Quick Note for Business Owners on Florida's Treasure Coast, Space Coast, and South Florida

Before you go — if you're a business owner, this is worth a moment of your attention.

When you're adding streaming apps, logging into new accounts, and connecting new devices, it's a good time to make sure your devices are up to date and your network is secure. Many business owners we talk to have smart TVs, streaming sticks, and personal phones running on the same network as their business computers — with nothing separating them. That's a security risk worth taking seriously.

If you're unsure whether your network and devices are as protected as they should be, we're covering that in detail in an upcoming video. Make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss it.
