You do not need cable to watch the 2026 World Series. Not even for one game. Every game, from Game 1 on Friday, October 23 through a possible Game 7 on Saturday, October 31, airs on Fox, and there is a completely legal way to watch every pitch free without an internet connection. In this guide, A Faster PC walks you through the full schedule, the cheapest streaming options, free trials that can cover most or all of the series, the two costly traps to avoid, and the free over-the-air option most fans never think about.

Why the World Series Is the Easiest Big Event to Watch Without Cable

Most sports seasons are scattered across a half-dozen networks and apps. The World Series is different: every game is on one network. You get Fox in English, Fox Deportes in Spanish, and Fox One for streaming. It is not on ESPN and it is not on TBS. If you can get Fox, you can watch the World Series.

2026 World Series Schedule (Every Game on Fox)

Here is the full schedule so you can plan your trials and your game nights. Games 5, 6, and 7 are played only if needed.

  • Game 1: Friday, October 23
  • Game 2: Saturday, October 24
  • Off day: Sunday, October 25
  • Game 3: Monday, October 26
  • Game 4: Tuesday, October 27
  • Game 5 (if needed): Wednesday, October 28
  • Game 6 (if needed): Friday, October 30
  • Game 7 (if needed): Saturday, October 31 (Halloween)

The entire series fits inside a nine-day window, which is what makes the free trial strategy below work. If you followed the earlier rounds with us, our guide on how to watch the MLB playoffs without cable covers the networks that carried the Wild Card, Division, and Championship Series.

The Cheapest Dedicated Streaming Option: Fox One

Price and Devices

Fox One is Fox's own streaming service, and you do not need a cable subscription to sign up. It costs $19.99 a month and carries every World Series game live. It works on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, Samsung, LG, and Vizio smart TVs, plus your smartphone, tablet, and computer. Besides Fox and Fox Deportes, Fox One also includes FS1, Fox News, and Fox Business.

How to Time the Fox One Free Trial

Fox One offers a free trial for new subscribers. When we recorded this episode it was three days, and some sign-up routes have advertised seven days, so confirm the length when you sign up. A three-day trial started on Friday, October 23 covers Games 1 and 2. Because the whole series fits inside nine days, a single month of Fox One covers the entire World Series. Just remember to cancel before it renews, unless you like the service and want to keep it.

Already Pay for a TV Service That Includes Fox?

If you already pay for a live TV service or provider that includes Fox, you can sign in to the Fox Sports app or Fox One with that account at no additional cost. Check this before you buy anything new.

Live TV Streaming Services: Where the Free Trial Is the Real Deal

If you want more than baseball, a full live TV streaming service may make sense. But timing matters, because the trials and promotions change often. These are the prices and offers we saw when we checked.

YouTube TV

YouTube TV lists at $82.99 a month, with new members offered $59.99 a month for the first two months through November 16. When we checked, YouTube TV was also advertising a 21-day free trial for new members. That is longer than the entire nine-day World Series window from October 23 through October 31, so if you qualify and time it right, the trial could cover every game, plus DVR. Enter a payment method, set a reminder to cancel so you are not billed, or keep the service if you like it.

Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV was offering its first month for $49.99, then $99.99 a month after that. That deal ends October 26, and it came with a three-day free trial.

Sling TV

Sling TV carries Fox only in select markets, so check availability in your area first.

The Big Warning: Check Your ZIP Code First

Before you sign up for any live TV service, type in your ZIP code and confirm that your local Fox station is included. You do not want to discover on game night that your plan cannot show the game.

Two Costly Traps That Cost Fans Money and Put Computers at Risk

Trap 1: Buying MLB.TV for the World Series

A lot of baseball fans assume MLB.TV, baseball's own streaming service, must carry the World Series. It does not in the United States and Canada. Every postseason game is a national broadcast, so it is blacked out on MLB.TV. Please do not buy it in October thinking you will watch the World Series. You will get a blackout screen.

Trap 2: Free Pirate Streaming Websites

The second trap is worse. Free streaming websites that promise every game for nothing are loaded with fake play buttons and "update your player" pop-ups that install junk, and sometimes malware that can steal your passwords or your credit card number. As a cybersecurity company, A Faster PC regularly cleans up the mess after someone clicks a free link. You might get a few blurry minutes of baseball and weeks of problems. The Totally Free Option: An Over-the-Air HDTV Antenna

Here is the option we saved for last. Fox is a broadcast network, which means your local Fox station sends the World Series through the air for free, the same way TV has worked for decades. There is no monthly bill, no subscription, and no internet connection required at all.

How to Watch the World Series With an Antenna

  1. Check your reception. Go to the FCC's DTV Reception Maps at FCC DTV Reception Maps, type in your ZIP code or address, and see which stations you can receive and how far you are from the broadcast towers.
  2. Get an antenna. A small indoor antenna can work, or use an outdoor antenna, which you can even mount inside or in the attic. It works best outside, and even better on a 20-foot pole. Antennas cost as little as $25 and run up to about $200.
  3. Plug it in. Connect the antenna to the antenna input on the back of your TV. Almost every modern TV has a built-in digital tuner.
  4. Scan for channels. Go to your TV settings, choose Antenna or Air, and run a channel scan. If your local Fox station shows up, you are ready for the first pitch.

Once you own the antenna, the TV is free. Depending on your location, you will likely receive Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC, Ion, The CW, TBN, the Home Shopping Network, and more, which means a lot of free sports coverage well beyond baseball. The same antenna works for football season too; see our guide on how to watch NFL games without cable.

Bonus: You Will See the Home Run First

An over-the-air picture is sharp, and because there is no internet delay, you are often a little ahead of streaming viewers. You will see the home run before your neighbors start cheering.

Your 2026 World Series Game Plan

  1. Check the FCC reception map first. If you can get Fox over the air with an antenna, you are done for $0 a month.
  2. If an antenna will not work, or you do not want one, check whether a service you already pay for includes Fox. You may already be covered.
  3. If you need something new, Fox One at $19.99 a month is the most affordable dedicated option. If you want a full channel lineup, compare it to YouTube TV's 21-day trial and Hulu + Live TV's first-month deal before you pay full price, and make sure Fox is included in your area.

That is what cord cutting is really about: not just getting rid of cable, but paying only for what you actually want to watch.

Frequently Asked Questions About Watching the 2026 World Series Without Cable

What channel is the 2026 World Series on?

Every game of the 2026 World Series airs on Fox, with Spanish-language coverage on Fox Deportes. You can also stream every game on Fox One, Fox's own streaming service. It is not on ESPN or TBS, so if you can get Fox, you can watch the whole series.

Can I watch the 2026 World Series for free without cable?

Yes. Fox is a free broadcast network, so an over-the-air HDTV antenna lets you watch every game free with no subscription and no internet connection. Check the FCC's DTV Reception Maps with your ZIP code to confirm you can receive your local Fox station. Free trials from streaming services can also cover some or all of the games if you time them right.

Does MLB.TV show the World Series?

No, not in the United States and Canada. Every postseason game is a national broadcast, so it is blacked out on MLB.TV. Do not buy MLB.TV in October expecting to watch the World Series, because you will only see a blackout screen.

How much does Fox One cost, and will one month cover the World Series?

Fox One costs $19.99 a month and carries every World Series game live, plus FS1, Fox News, and Fox Business. The entire series fits inside a nine-day window, so one month covers every game. New subscribers can also get a short free trial, so check the trial length when you sign up and set a reminder to cancel if you do not want to keep it.

Will a YouTube TV free trial cover the whole World Series?

It can. When we checked, YouTube TV was advertising a 21-day free trial for new members, which is longer than the nine-day World Series window from October 23 to October 31. If you qualify and start at the right time, the trial could cover every game plus DVR. Always confirm your local Fox station is included for your ZIP code before signing up.

Are free sports streaming websites safe to use?

No. Free pirate streaming sites are loaded with fake play buttons and fake "update your player" pop-ups that can install junk or malware and steal your passwords or credit card information. A Faster PC regularly cleans up infected computers after someone clicked one of these links. A legal antenna is a safer free option.

Can I watch the World Series with an antenna on the Treasure Coast, Space Coast, or South Florida?

Many homes on Florida's Treasure Coast, Space Coast, and South Florida can receive a local Fox station over the air, but reception depends on your distance from the towers and what is around your home. Enter your ZIP code on the FCC's DTV Reception Maps to see which stations reach you. A Faster PC helps local homeowners and businesses choose the right antenna and streaming setup so they can cut the cord with confidence.

How much money can I save by cutting the cord?

It depends on what you watch, but some A Faster PC customers have saved $170 or more every month by cutting the cord. The goal is paying only for what you actually want to watch, using a free antenna for local channels and adding only the streaming services you need.
